A little bit about Dr. Gittins…
Dr. John Gittins earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2011. During his studies, he received a prestigious U.S. Army scholarship and was selected as one of only four dentists nationwide to enter the Army’s Prosthodontics Residency Training Program at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia.
After completing his residency in 2015, Dr. Gittins served as the Chief of Prosthodontics and Dental Technology at Fort Riley, Kansas. In this role, he played a vital part in delivering advanced dental care to soldiers and mentoring more than 30 general dentists. That same year, he earned the profession’s highest distinctions by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a recognition held by only 1,000 specialists worldwide.
Following the completion of his military service, Dr. Gittins joined the faculty at Roseman University College of Dental Medicine, where he taught prosthodontics and was regarded for his compassion, dedication, and genuine personal connection with students and patients alike.
John met his wife, Jessica, while attending Weber State University, and the two were married in 2002. They are the proud parents of four wonderful children. Outside of dentistry, he loves spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and enjoying great food. He lives by three simple life rules: Do everything with passion. Don’t take yourself too seriously. And always make time for the people you love.
As a Board-Certified Prosthodontist, Dr. Gittins has had the privilege of serving his country, owning a practice, educating students, and training both dentists and specialists. He believes that dentistry is built on communication, trusting relationships, and individualized care for every patient. He is committed to providing quality treatment with honesty and integrity.
