Lasers vs Phasers

Lasers vs Phasers

LASERS VS PHASERS!

DR. O HAS SOME ANSWERS

I’M HERE TO GIVE LASERS A GOOD RAP.

Yes, they’re very advanced. Yes, lasers really are made of pure light. Yes, they’re virtually painless—but sadly I must report lasers in my office have none of a Phaser’s heat, and destruction, cool sparks, and that amazing beaming sound.

Even though we have the coolest and latest lasers…no blasts. No sparks. No pain.

Why are lasers better? Two words: No Friction.

Traditional drilling creates vibration and friction. They heat up in some awkward ways. But not so with lasers. Zero friction. They’re focused and avoid the major issues that cause trauma and pain.

When you visit, I can illustrate the difference. I think you’ll be amazed.

FAQs

Why don't Lasers hurt?

They lack friction. Zero. They fail to churn up vibrations which is the real issue that causes pain.

Conservative, High-Tech Treatments

Less is more in dentistry, as we are constantly trying to save your natural anatomy instead of replacing everything. From fillings, root canals and dental implants to gum therapy, LightWalker lasers offer a staggering list of dental applications of any dental laser made today. LightWalker is also perfect for cosmetic dental procedures like Fotona’s highly effective TouchWhite™ laser tooth whitening. The laser can even be used during facial skin treatments, such as wrinkle reduction, cold sore treatment or something as amazing as tongue reduction therapy to open a patient’s airway to decrease snoring or sleep apnea symptoms.

Typical treatment procedures with LightWalker are faster, easier to perform with less pain and shorter healing times compared to conventional treatments.

Aren't lasers and phasers the same thing?

Absolutely not, except they look a bit the same. And lasers are soft and delicate while phasers melt a Klingon within six seconds and 55 seconds to one in full Klingon amour.

BEGINNINGS START NOW!

Excited and Grateful

Smiling Teeth

I’m one of the lucky ones, one of those who get to do what they enjoy most.

For me, that is getting to engage people and help them achieve the best dental results. I get to share my love of dentistry and share what being a dentist really is, which for me that is a healing engineer. Every engagement allows me to clarify my patients’ issues, talk about the results they want, and then create a plan, an engineer a solution—the best one that can be achieved specifically for them.

Yes, I’m relaunching my practice. We’re announcing once again that we’re committed to safety. So, dive in to the new blog and follow us if you like!
And know too, though we can be very focused and serious—we often have fun too.
